Well, until now that is. Meet the BookBook ($80) — a book for your 'Book if you will — that I came across on Gizmodo.

How much more can busy mama Tori Spelling do? The celebrity has two children — Liam, 2, and Stella, 1, — a kids' clothing line, a reality show with her husband, Dean, and three, er, make it four book deals! In addition to her auto-biographical paperbacks, sTORI Telling, Mommywood and unchartered terriTORI (out in June), the author/actress is also penning a children's book based on her upbringing.

In the mood for some violent reading? Then if you're a woman, you'll probably reach for something a little more descriptive than a man would. A new study found women overwhelmingly prefer true-crime books that detail the death and dismemberment of characters while men prefer nonfiction accounts of war or gang violence.

There's a reason classic storybooks continue to resonate with lil ones. The sweet tales, with their fun characters, colorful story lines and ultimate morals, have educated generations of tots.
Getting tykes interested in the classic characters can be a tough sell.

Actors are always looking to expand their horizons, and though most head towards music or clothing lines, a few brave souls venture into the wide world of literature. Some celebs have tried their hand at writing fiction — like Steve Martin's Shopgirl or Ethan Hawke's The Hottest State — while others find fodder in their own life stories.
I have to admit that I kind of loved Tori Spelling's sTORI Telling, and lately I've been considering exploring the buzz behind Lauren Conrad's LA Candy (don't judge me).

A mother can tell her child how wonderful and special it is to be an individual, though it may go in one ear and out the other. But if kids read about the importance of being unique and mommy and daddy continue to reinforce her confidence, then the child might begin to believe it. Here are some fantastic books to get that library of confidence growing.
